Who created the fictional sci-fi series, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?"

  • Douglas Adams:Douglas Noel Adams hailed from Cambridge, England. For most of his early life, science was his main interest. He studied science in school until 1970, when he left school to become a writer. Always certain success was just around the corner, he met disappointment over and over. In 1977, he met Simon Brett, a radio personality. They decided to produce a sci-fi based comedy show for radio. This was the inception of the hitchhikers guide. It was his series of hysterically funny books, known as the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" that finally gained him a degree of fame. Adams died of a heart attack in 2001. Source: IMDb.com
